No, not that Scooby, silly! Meet Scooby, the Budweiser Clydesdale. You’ll notice that there’s quite a bit of size difference from the Scooby Great Dane dog we all know and love from the Scooby-Doo television series, and the size of Scooby, the Budweiser Clydesdale.
Scooby stands at 18 hands, which is about six feet. He’s a 10-year-old swing horse and has been a proud member of the Budweiser Clydesdales for six years. The swing horse pair tend to be agile horses, since they need to turn the wagon. They sit in the third position from the wagon. The size and physical ability of each horse contributes to its position in the hitch.
Scooby’s calm personality and quiet demeanor make him an excellent partner for young horses adjusting to life as a Budweiser Clydesdale on the West Coast Hitch. Learn more about the Clydesdale Training Program for young Clydesdales.
